ASCAP Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Awards Honorable Mention (2025)
Honorable mention for ASCAP's recognition of outstanding compositional work on Vaidhyan's piece "Sir Jude." Established in 2002, the program recognizes gifted young jazz composers up to the age of 30. It carries the name of the great trumpeter and ASCAP member Herb Alpert in recognition of The Herb Alpert Foundation’s multi-year financial commitment to the program.
Silkroad Global Music Workshop Participant (2024)
Participated in a prestigious global music workshop at the New England Conservatory of Music that brought together some of the best young musicians from around the world to share their musical talents and cultural heritage. Studied and performed with Edward Perez, Marcus Printup, and Kala Ramnath.
Hubbard Hutchinson Fellowship Recipient in Music (2024)
Prestigious fellowship awarded by Williams College to a senior undergraduate student demonstrating stellar accomplishments in the field of music, particularly considering their performance and compositional achievements
Adithya Vaidhyan Quartet (2020-present)
A group representing Adithya's greatest creative exploration to date, the Adithya Vaidhyan Quartet mixes the finest elements of the jazz tradition as well as influences from hip-hop and R&B with an original avante garde flavor of its own
YoungArts Merit Winner for Tenor Sax (2020)
National YoungArts Foundation was established in 1981 by Lin and Ted Arison. YoungArts identifies the most accomplished young artists in the visual, literary and performing arts, and provides them with creative and professional development opportunities throughout their careers.
Founder and Band Leader of the Durham Jazz Impressionists (2018-2020)
Led a group of talented high school students who performed around the Triangle at farmers markets as well as other religious, political, and social events.
International Performance Opportunities (2017, 2018)
Played at Rick's Cafe in Casablanca, Morocco with local jazz musicians, with jazz professors from Sorbonne in Paris, and at weddings and other celebrations in Dublin, Ireland and Kochi, India
